The U.S. Army Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) Program recruits, educates, develops, and inspires student Cadets in order to commission them as officers of character to serve in the regular Army, Army Reserves, and Army National Guard. Our program instills core values and leadership skills through military training to prepare student Cadets to serve our country in complex, dynamic times while completing their undergraduate course of study.

Our ROTC Program is organized and operated by students in the Anteater Military Association who lead their peers in the conduct of physical fitness, technical skill development, military training, and social events. Student Cadets participate in up to four years of military science and leadership courses that run in conjunction with their university course of study. Student Cadets also receive unique opportunities such as foreign language study abroad, museum and engineer internships, and special military training (e.g. U.S. Army Air Assault school).

The UC Irvine Army ROTC program cultivates leadership excellence by combining a pursuit of knowledge through higher education and thorough character development, ultimately yielding warrior-scholars postured to serve as Officers in the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Reserve, and Army National Guard.
